The Bobby's team will open Meadow, a vinyl bar and bistro for Cronulla
Odd Culture Group's southern push lands at the beach with a wood-panelled listening room, a bistro menu and a 1am licence.
Cronulla has waited a long time for a bar of this calibre. Meadow, from the Odd Culture Group team behind Bobby's, The Old Fitz and Oxford Tavern, will open later this winter on Surf Lane with a brief that reads more Newtown than Northies: pristine vinyl playback, low-intervention wine, a short bistro menu and a 1am licence.
The fit-out leans on warm timber and a centre bar built around a custom Klipsch system. Bobby's music director Tom Russo will curate the opening months of programming, with weekly residencies from Sydney DJs and a quieter, dinner-friendly first set.
It is the latest signal that the Sutherland Shire is finally getting the late-night infrastructure its dining boom demanded — and Odd Culture says a second southern venue is already in planning.
